About the Conference
The annual conference on “Climate Change, Green Finance, and Sustainable Development,” hosted by the Volatility Institute of NYU Shanghai and co-organized by The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, Representative Office in China, will be held at NYU Shanghai on December 2, 2024. Green finance has emerged as a critical component in the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient global economy. As the world grapples with climate change and environmental degradation, innovative financial instruments and strategies are essential to drive investments in sustainable projects and technologies.
This conference brings together distinguished scholars, policymakers, industry professionals, and practitioners to explore the latest advancements, opportunities, and challenges in green finance. It serves as a platform for exchanging insights, addressing current environmental and economic challenges, showcasing innovative financial solutions, and shaping the future of sustainable development.
